Employee Handbooks
Through our partnership with one of the largest labor law firms in the country, we have developed an employee handbook review and design service for our clients. As part of the handbook service, clients receive personal review of policies and procedures with an attorney, a complete handbook on disk, application forms, labor law guidebook, and other pertinent legal forms and postings for their business. (A minimal charge may apply based on your specific needs).

5500 Form Management
Typically, businesses with 100 plus employees are required by the IRS to file an annual 5500 form reporting employee enrollment, premiums and fees for each type of insurance coverage. Although this informational filing is a function of the plan administrator (the employer), upon request, our office will coordinate the gathering and filing of all necessary information through the partnering services of a qualified CPA. Although a minimal charge may apply for this service, the CPA will prepare and provide all filing forms ready for signature and IRS filing.

COBRA Compliance Support and Administration
Cobra was enacted in 1974 to provide employees who lost employer-sponsored health coverage with an extension of coverage until other insurance can be secured. In California all employer groups with two or more employees must comply with COBRA. From two-20 employees, California COBRA applies, and from 20+ Federal COBRA applies. Although it is the responsibility of the insurance companies to enroll an employee with COBRA, it is the responsibility of employers to properly comply with notification and administration processes. Our office has designed a program to allow employers to self-administer COBRA with all of the pertinent information and required forms. If a business would like to outsource the responsibilities and requirements of COBRA, we work with third party COBRA administrators who provide service fee discounts to our clients.
